The video is from two days before she actually rolled over!!
Evelyn rolled over for the first time today!!! Over the last few weeks I have noticed her trying to roll when she is on her tummy - usually her right arm is in the way and she just tilts to the side.
Yesterday she was really enjoying tummy time - not fussy and paying attention to the toys set up around her.
Today... she put both arms under her shoulders and pushed up... one arm pushed a little stronger and there she was - balancing on her side... teetering on the edge...ready to tilt back to her tummy or roll over. Sure enough, today she rolled!! I let out a yelping squeal of excitement that scared her and she started to cry. It took a little bit to calm her down - we played patty-cakes and "sit up" which will always makes her smile. Once Evey was happy again, it was back on her tummy to see if she could roll over again!
Again and again - three times total - she rolled over from tummy to back! The last two times I was much calmer and she really enjoyed the new found movement!
No more leaving her on the bed or changing table without barricading her in. Soon enough we'll have to move her from cradle to crib too.
