Out and about!

Great weather is finally here! It has been so fun to bring Evey outside and to spend time out of doors! She was "barefoot" yesterday... cute little toes wiggling in the grass.

Memorial weekend was spent up North at the Farm and on Madeline Island. Even though Evelyn came down with her first cold, she was still a little trooper and slept all day in the shade at Uncle Tim's BBQ. The fresh air seemed to help diminish her sniffles and sneezes.

This past weekend was busy, busy! We met Auntie Cat on Friday and walked around the neighborhood... eventually catching up with G-ma and walked for ice cream. Saturday we visited the Children's Festival in downtown Saint Paul and had a great time being out! We carried Evey in the front pack facing out for the first time and she loved having the view! She tried her first taste of ice cream and loved it... sugar, sugar... more, more. She kept reaching out and grabbing for the spoon. I think she is just becoming more interested in food in general!

On Sunday we went to Stillwater to visit new Baby Jocelyn (Evey's 2nd Cousin). I couldn't believe how big Evey is compared to a newborn!!! She was excited to be there, attentive to the baby sounds and curious about this little person. On the way home from visiting Briana and the baby, we stumbled upon our Neighborhood Spring Festival at Newell Park. We decided to stop and wander and meet neighbors. Very fun! Met a couple with a little 9 month old girl named Charlotte... the other mother's expression: "Charlotte and Evelyn... it's the Old Ladies (name) Club".

I'm definitely looking forward to finding street festivals and neighborhood gatherings to bring Evelyn to. It's a great (and inexpensive) way to get out and enjoy all the great things going on!!
